The Super Jolly V Pro is what you buy when one grinder has to carry the whole rush. A double fan cooling system pulls heat out of the grinding chamber, so the burrs stay in the temperature range where they cut cleanly instead of drifting as the morning wears on. Mazzer re-engineered the 64mm flat burrs for this machine and states they cut dosing time by 20 percent.

The parts you touch every day are the ones Mazzer rebuilt. The grinding chamber opens for cleaning without losing your grind setting, so a burr wipe no longer costs you a dial-in. The Memory Track System indexes your settings, so you can move between coffees and come back to a number instead of a guess. Doses program in hundredths of a second across single, double and triple, with a manual override for topping up. The portafilter holder is fully adjustable and starts the grind when you push against it.

Ninety-three percent of the machine by weight is stainless steel, aluminum, brass and copper. It is the right main grinder for a medium volume cafe, and the right upgrade from the V Up Electronic when your problem is heat, cleaning downtime, or repeatability rather than raw grinding.

Is the Mazzer Super Jolly V Pro a commercial grinder or a home grinder?

Mazzer positions the Super Jolly V Pro as a premium grinder for small to medium sized cafes, and it is rated for professional use. Plenty of people run one at home on a serious espresso setup, and the cooling and repeatability features are genuinely useful there. It stands 24 inches tall with the standard hopper, so measure before you commit to a spot.

What is the difference between the Mazzer Super Jolly V Pro and the Super Jolly V Up Electronic?

They share a platform, a 350 watt motor, and 64mm flat burrs at the same speed. The V Pro adds a double fan cooling system, a grinding chamber that opens for cleaning without losing the grind setting, a wider adjustment range with a settable zero point, dose programming in hundredths of a second rather than tenths, the Memory Track System for indexing settings, a 19 language control panel, and a tag holder as standard. Mazzer also states the V Pro burrs are re-engineered to cut dosing time by 20 percent. The V Up Electronic is the better value if you do not need those things. The V Pro is the one to buy if heat, cleaning downtime, or repeatability is your actual problem.

What does the double fan cooling system on the Super Jolly V Pro do?

It moves air through the grinder to keep heat out of the grinding chamber. Burrs heat up in sustained use, and hot burrs change how the coffee grinds mid-service, which shows up as shots drifting on you during a rush. Mazzer's stated purpose is protecting the beans from temperature exposure and preserving the fresh roasted flavor. The practical benefit is that the twentieth drink tastes like the second. The V Up Electronic has no fan.

What size burrs does the Mazzer Super Jolly V Pro use?

64mm flat burrs in hardened high-carbon steel, Mazzer reference 233M, manufactured by Mazzer in Italy. They turn at 1400 RPM on 50Hz power and 1600 RPM on 60Hz, which is what you have in the United States. Mazzer states these burrs were re-engineered to speed up dosing time by 20 percent.

How do you clean the burrs on the Super Jolly V Pro without losing your grind setting?

The grinding chamber on the Super Jolly V Pro is designed to open without disturbing the adjustment, which Mazzer describes as easy to clean with no loss of the regulation. You get in, wipe the burrs and the chamber, close it up, and your setting is where you left it. On most grinders in this class a burr clean costs you a fresh dial-in, which is the real reason burrs go uncleaned in busy shops.

What is the Memory Track System on the Super Jolly V Pro?

MTS lets you index your grind settings so they are recorded rather than remembered. When you move between coffees, or come back to one after a week, you return to a number instead of guessing your way back. Combined with the settable zero point, it makes the adjustment repeatable rather than relative.

What is Grind Flow Control on the Mazzer Super Jolly V Pro?

GFC is a removable aluminum insert in the coffee outlet fitted with an extractable wire damper. The wire reduces the electrostatic charge that throws coffee powder onto the tray and the counter, and it breaks up clumping on the way down the chute. Note that the V Pro uses a single damper, where the V Up Electronic ships with three interchangeable ones.

How tall is the Mazzer Super Jolly V Pro and will it fit under a cabinet?

The Super Jolly V Pro is 24 inches tall with the standard hopper, 7.75 inches wide and 10.5 inches deep. Standard kitchen cabinets sit about 18 inches above the counter, so it will not clear one. Plan on an open counter position and allow clearance from walls and adjacent equipment.

How precisely can you set doses on the Super Jolly V Pro?

In steps of one hundredth of a second, across three programmable positions for single, double and triple. That is ten times finer than the V Up Electronic, which works in tenths. There is also a dedicated manual override, so you can top up a dose without touching your programmed settings.

When should I replace the burrs on the Mazzer Super Jolly V Pro?

Mazzer does not publish a service life figure for the 233M burr in the V Pro documentation. Replace them when grind quality drops, because worn burrs crush beans rather than cutting them, which generates heat and widens particle size. The signs are longer grind times for the same dose, more fines and boulders, and shots that channel where they used to run clean. Use original Mazzer burrs, and grind a few doses through a new set and discard them.

Can the Super Jolly V Pro be used for filter coffee as well as espresso?

The Super Jolly V Pro is built for espresso. Its adjustment range is centered on espresso fineness and its dosing is designed around portafilters. It can be opened up coarser, but if filter is a real part of your menu you want a grinder built for it, and Mazzer makes the ZM for exactly that.

What power does the Mazzer Super Jolly V Pro need?

350 watts on 120 volt single phase power through a standard US plug, with 5 amp service. The outlet must be properly earthed and protected against overcurrent, and Mazzer advises against extension cords and multi-socket adapters.

Is the Mazzer Super Jolly V Pro NSF certified?

The Super Jolly V Pro is ETL Sanitation Listed to NSF-8 and ETL Listed to UL-763. That matters if your health department or your insurer requires listed equipment behind the bar.

What is the IoT option on the Super Jolly V Pro?

An optional internet connection that makes the grinder's data accessible remotely. Mazzer's stated uses are monitoring output across one or several grinders, tracking maintenance needs, and receiving firmware updates. It is an option rather than standard equipment, so specify it at order if you want it.

What colors does the Mazzer Super Jolly V Pro come in?

We stock the Super Jolly V Pro in black and white. Mazzer also produces it in matt gray, silver, polished aluminum, bright red, and powder blue on request at additional cost. Ask us if you want one of those and we will check availability and lead time.

Where is the Mazzer Super Jolly V Pro made?

Italy. Mazzer Luigi S.p.a. builds it in Scorze near Venice and manufactures its own burrs in house. The V Pro's design is a deliberate reference to the original 1971 Mazzer Jolly.
