The Sanremo Zoe Compact 2 Group gives you two group heads in a footprint just under 21 inches square, which is the whole point of the machine. If you are working a coffee cart, a trailer, or a café counter that cannot give up three feet of run to an espresso machine, this is how you keep two groups without redesigning the bar.

It is a heat exchange machine on a 7 liter steam boiler, so you can pull shots and steam milk at the same time without waiting on recovery. Dosing is volumetric and programmable per group, which is what keeps a drink consistent when the person on bar changes at 2pm. The frame and panels are steel throughout, the internals come apart fast for service, and every group runs electronic pre-infusion to wet the puck before full pressure arrives.

We stock it in 110V and 220V. The 110V machine draws 1400 to 1700 W and runs on a NEMA 5-20 receptacle, which matters a great deal for mobile builds and older buildings where a 240V circuit is not on offer. The 220V machine draws 2200 to 2800 W on a NEMA 6-15. If you need more than two groups, or you are serving a steady line of 16 ounce milk drinks, look at the Zoe Competition instead. This is a compact machine and it behaves like one.

Who is the Sanremo Zoe Compact 2 Group for?

Mobile coffee trucks and trailers, coffee carts, small cafes, restaurants and bakeries. The Zoe Compact suits any operation that needs two group heads but cannot spare the counter run a full-size two group machine demands. It is not a substitute for a full-size machine in a high-volume shop pouring a steady line of 16 ounce milk drinks.

Is the Sanremo Zoe Compact available in 110V?

Yes. Sanremo builds the Zoe Compact in a 110-120 V model and a 208-240 V model, and Voltage stocks both. The 110V machine is the reason this model turns up so often in mobile builds, where a 240V circuit is frequently not available.

What electrical outlet does the 110V Zoe Compact need?

A NEMA 5-20 receptacle. The 110V Zoe Compact draws 1400 to 1700 W on a 110-120 V, single phase supply. A standard 15 amp household outlet is not sufficient.

What electrical outlet does the 220V Zoe Compact need?

A NEMA 6-15 receptacle. The 220V Zoe Compact draws 2200 to 2800 W on a 208-240 V, single phase supply.

Can the Zoe Compact brew espresso and steam milk at the same time?

Yes. The Zoe Compact is a heat exchange machine built on a 7 liter copper steam boiler, so the steam supply is independent of brewing and the two run together without waiting for recovery.

How large is the boiler on the Zoe Compact?

7 liters, in copper.

What does the Zoe Compact weigh?

The Zoe Compact is 99 lbs net and 112 lbs gross in its shipping crate. Confirm your counter, and any cart or trailer structure, can carry the loaded weight.

Does the Zoe Compact need to be plumbed in?

Yes. The Zoe Compact requires a dedicated cold water line with a shut-off valve and a drain. There is no reservoir option.

Does the Zoe Compact require water filtration?

Yes, and running the Zoe Compact without filtration voids the warranty. Sanremo asks for water at 30 to 150 ppm TDS, total hardness below 85 ppm, pH between 6.5 and 8, chlorides at 5 to 15 ppm, total alkalinity 35 to 75 ppm, and zero iron and zero total chlorine. Chloride in particular causes corrosion.

Is the Zoe Compact volumetric?

Yes. Dosing on the Zoe Compact is volumetric and programmable per group, so each button pours the same volume every time regardless of who is on bar.

Does the Zoe Compact have a shot counter?

Yes. The Zoe Compact uses Sanremo's integrated shot counter keypad, which tracks shots pulled and also handles the machine's programming functions.

Does the Zoe Compact have pre-infusion?

Yes. The Zoe Compact runs electronic pre-infusion, delaying the group solenoid to wet the coffee before full brew pressure arrives, and it can be set independently for single and double shots.

Is the work area lit on the Zoe Compact?

Yes. LED spots light the working area and are switched from the keypad.

How does the Zoe Compact compare to the Sanremo Zoe Competition?

They are the same Sanremo ZOE platform at different widths, so they share the keypad, the electronics, pre-infusion, the cleaning cycle and the LED-lit work area. The Zoe Compact puts two groups into a footprint just under 21 inches square on a 7 liter boiler, and it is the only one of the two offered in 110V. The Zoe Competition is wider, carries a larger boiler, and is offered in three groups and in a tall version with more cup clearance. Choose the Compact when counter space or a 110V supply is the constraint, and the wider machine when throughput or cup height is.

How does the Zoe Compact compare to the Appia Life Compact?

There are very few compact two group machines on the market, and the closest comparison to the Zoe Compact is the Nuova Simonelli Appia Life Compact, a similar machine in a similar footprint. The Zoe Compact's distinguishing point is the availability of a genuine 110V model.

What is the next machine up from the Zoe Compact in the Sanremo range?

The Sanremo F18SB single boiler. It is comparable to the Zoe Compact but adds PID temperature control and stronger steam generation. Above that sits the Sanremo F18 multi-boiler, which gives better temperature stability and greater capacity.

How long does a Sanremo Zoe Compact last?

With water filtration maintained and preventative maintenance performed, expect roughly 7 to 10 years of commercial service from the Zoe Compact.

What warranty comes with the Zoe Compact?

Sanremo warrants the Zoe Compact and its components against defective material and workmanship for twelve months from the invoice date. Voltage adds a further one year labor warranty. Operating without water filtration voids coverage, as does water outside Sanremo's published parameters.

All new Sanremo espresso machines come with a 1-year parts warranty from the original order date. Voltage provides an additional 1 year labor warranty. The absence of water filtration voids this warranty.

Sanremo updated the ZOE platform for 2026 and current English documentation is being sourced from the manufacturer. We have removed the previous-generation spec sheet and manual rather than publish installation figures that no longer match the machine. Contact us for the specification you need and we will send it directly.
